Hi, I am getting some hesitation between 2000-2400 rpm. It happens in any gear but is most noticable in second. I thought at first it was just the engine "objecting" to lower revs but if you change up a gear and drop the revs it goes away until 2k again. After 2400rpm it pulls like a train. Could be a slight missfire even. I asked my dealer about it and it seems they all have this (dealers description) "flat spot". I have to take the car in to get the tickover reset as its ticking over about 500rpm so if this isnt normal I can get it checked. Is this normal?
This is a problem with some cars.
There is a linkage modification that can be done also an ECU upgrade but I don’t think this is required. If it’s really that bad then get it to a good Cerbera specialist and get them to give it a good tune, it may be that one of your throttle pots are out. They will also be able to diagnose any ply in the throttle linkage

This is a 3k mile 03 car I just bought so its under warranty with the dealer, so its worth asking them to check the throttle pots then. Thanks for your advice.

It's not your engine that's out, it's your rev counter.
teh traditional lumpy running range for cerbies is 1800-2200 rpm, just sounds to me like your engine is like 99.9% of all AJP8s out there but your rev counter is 10% high ...
So quite normal then. Glad to here tge dealer got it right, they seem to be a very helpful bunch.
