Hi All, I’m not planning to de-cat my car but I understand there are standard cats and high flow cats. Are there any upgrades possible for the 4.5 and from the photo are mine standard? The exhaust definitely isn’t standard but I’m not sure of its provenance. confused

As far as I am aware all Cerberas came with Metallic foil (high flow) cats.

Avoid anything that is a Ceramic Matrix. They give a lot more back pressure.

Unless you just need a set for an MoT.

Besides metal vs ceramic matrix catalytic converters are classified by the cells per square inch. I bought some 100cpsi cats for mine. You can see the difference between them and the OEM cats.

The cerb cats are already high flow compared to what a normal road car might have, they only cost about 10hp at 400hp worth if flow. Also the cerb is dirty on the emissions, I wouldn't go changing for the sake of it .. they're hard enough to get through the mot test legitimately as it is..

Any difference on noise? I know the cats when fitted to mine dropped the noise by 8db at 4.5k revs, 10db at 6k

This is what I fitted to my 4.5 £112 each yes it is a lot quieter than with the H pipe decat fitted.

Thanks for the advice everyone. View of cats above. Are they standard?

Look very similar to the factory cats. Flanges have degraded the same way.

Are the standard cats available any more, I quite liked the sound running on the original cats. If I recall correctly, the ACT cats are 200 cell.
