Brakes (Rears)
Discussion
I've got a knocking/rubbing sound, like there’s some deposit left on the rear-disk when it goes round, on braking rattles the calliper, still works but doesn't sound too good. (Pads are fine)
From memory the rears were the front off a ford Scorpio, is this correct? What year does anyone know?
Also though of an upgrade, to those nice little drilled bad boys. Anyone on here recently had this done? How much and do you keep the old callipers?
Thanks

I have a pair of the drilled rear discs in stock 'cos that's all you can get from TVR now. They're defo NOT an upgrade though, they crack under hard use and are for visual effect only. They are WORSE than the older plain discs for hard use.
The pads are probably moving up and down in the caliper on your car, take the pads out, smear the backs of them with silicone sealer, refit, stamp on brake pedal, go have a cup of coffee and a read of the paper so the silicone sets hard .. job done
