Recent Cerbera purchase and introduction
Discussion
Hi folks,
I’ve had the fortune to own this Cerbera for a few months now, having bought it from one of the best owners you could wish to find. It’s a childhood dream car for me, and I did manage one big day of around 180 miles before it went away for winter.
What can I say, but it’s intoxicatingly fun to drive, actually so more nimble and controllable when pushing on than people make out, and just has to be respected.
I’m in West Oxfordshire and a regular at Caffeine and Machine in the dryer seasons.
I cannot wait to start enjoying the car some more next year, and really hope I can continue where the last owner left off in keeping it beautifully maintained.
I’ve got a few jobs done/in the pipeline before the new season. It’s had a detail including machine polish and ceramic coatings everywhere we possibly could have them. I’ve got some higher quality leather gear and handbrake gaiters being made up, and the plan is to dry ice blast the underside and treat with Bilthamber clear UC wax to make sure it’s kept tip top.
Here’s a few photos anyway, hopefully meet some of you during next season and see more gorgeous Cerb’s

Question.
Is it possible this car came from the factory with those pod style lights. I know it became an aftermarket add on but did TVR themselves build cars with this style lights fitted to the Cerbera.
They look great.
TVR fitted the non blended double light pods in about 2000 and then in about 01 then blended them in (on the v8 cars. As I recall it the s6 was single lights still for at least some of this period). Is it possible this car came from the factory with those pod style lights. Thanks everyone for the kind words. I couldn’t be happier with the car, and still feel giddy when I open the garage door!
The colour is X Power Grey, an MG Rover colour
I’ve got a few bits planned for next year, including a weekend at Goodwood for the Retro Rides Weekender… which if anything like this years was, it will be one hell of a weekend.
Interior (photo below) is a combination of Nimbus Grey and Portland Grey.

Oooh, finally, if anyone is interested, I also have another entirely different toy as well, and I’ve included a photo of that below as most people would never expect me to be passionate about these and Cerbera’s at the same time

Waves...
Glad to see you've finally put up a welcome
It belonged to a friend of mine, one of the last to come out the factory, he had the colour to his own spec, not sure if he did the interior, but it was spotless as he was a cleaning guru.
Ex Str8Six looked after, Joolz tweaked, it's a cracking car and glad to see it's still local so we can still see it...

Check out those overhangs... different era!Cheers everyone, and Merry Christmas!
The 200 is a properly rare car, there are only 4 Avants left on the road in the UK. It’s got the UR quattro turbocharged engine and driveline, and is so far ahead of its time. My parents had a similar car when I was a kid, and I’ve always adored the shape and feeling of integrity in it.
Also, I’d asked a question in another thread… I’ve ordered a new single DIN head unit, which I’m hoping will tick a lot of boxes and also drive the stock speakers more fully than the original did. Here’s a pic, as I know there have been some queries over whether these will fit, I’ve taken the plunge and will review fully on here once fitted and tested in the spring
