Watertemp gauge and capillary tube

I have been reading through an old thread, but is it true that you cannot buy a seperate capillary tube? This is always included with a new gauge?

You can probably specify the length of the capillary tube when you get the gauge rebuilt, but it is permanently soldered to the internals
