Hi Mjleah wavey

Never tried to replace the seals in place coz getting the Master Cylinder out is so easy.
Just acquire a curved ring spanner (10mm I think) and Robert is your Mum's brother.
(I am a complete Numptie with things like this so if I can do it,then you'll have no prob ! thumbup )

I'm sure peeps will be alnng with loadsa photos of the appropriate tool thumbup

I think you're thinking of the clutch master cylinder. The brake can't be done in situ because you'd have to somehow make your way through the brake servo.

The OP seems to be asking on Facebook too. All I can say is there must be some variance in the cars because I can remove the brake master from mine without moving the pedal box whereas others say its impossible.

To give it a go you will need to cut down a spanner or 2. Then use a syrunge or something to drain the fluid from the reservoir. Cut the silicone holding it in place and remove the reservoir. It just pulls off the top of the cylinder.

Cutting a slot in a ring spanner (11mm I think but check first) to get the brake lines out of the master cylinder helped. Then undo the 2x nuts holding it to the brake servo. There's just enough room on my car to get it out. Taking the clutch master cylinder access cover off helps with visibility and access too.

Hi thanks for replying my problem is that I can’t get the reservoir to lift from the cylinder as it’s already up tight to the inner wing

If you take the clutch reservoir cover off can you get to the 2x nuts that hold the brake master on to the servo? If you can loosen them you might have enough play. The brake master reservoir hole in my car is definitely not TVRs finest precision work.
