hi all, i picked up my cerb the other day,{v8} 4.2 98. fantastic very different to the Chimaera. the car is going in austec tomorrow to have afew things i want done, louder exhaust,,etc etc, anything you could tell me to get the ultimate sound?
although there is one problem at low revs or going very slow it cuts out, more than 20 miles an hour no problem and sounds fine. Although will be looked at tomorrow any ideas what this might be ?...batterys fine...and it always starts straight away if it does cut out just does not like going slow. when idle, its ok.thanks for advice

Hi Paul

see you bought a cerb good luck with it.

As for the cutting out try the easiest first unplug the ecu and leave for half hour. this will reset and stopped it doing the same on mine or it could be the the airflow meter I think and cost about £280 or you might need to have it remapped at austec £700

Unplugging the ecu won't reset it, you will need the software.
Also, there is no air flow meter on a cerb, (at least not the V8).

well it worked on mine when I unplugged it and thats what richard smith of penninsula told me I think he should know.As I said I think it was the airflow meter or something like that.

Maybe she could do with a tune-up down at Austec.

Or an emerald ecu upgrade with tune-up available from Trackcar (joolz).

I mention the emerald because all who have gone down the emerald route seem to have better running cars...

It is actually more likely to a) ruin your hearing and b) to reduce the power of your car.
