Guys, I‘ve bought this OilWater heat exchange unit, which I was told came from a Cerbera ( & also used on some T cars )

Do any of you have one fitted ?

If so how‘s it plumbed in ?

I‘m thinking the water will come from the cool side of the radiator (ie outlet). & the oil comes from the pump, via a Remote Filter, then through the exchanger & back into the block.

Any thoughts ? Pictures of the real setup ?

I think the water is from the hot side not the cold.

The idea being that the oil warms up quickly, 100deg+ oil is good.

I got it 2nd hand via an online classified website, here in Germany.

I should imagine they must be available from Steve Strange ( ebay) or Glen Lowe ( https://tvrspares.co.uk/ ) in the UK.

I have no idea what they charge, but I got it for about 50 quid.

Alternatively you can get them here , brand new => https://partsfortvrs.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tv...

But don‘t forget the surcharge if you don‘t have an old one :-(

Yep, Hot side, engine outlet.

Flow the oil the opposite way to the coolant across the cooler.

Before fitting, strip and clean thoroughly. The fins in those can collect all sorts of tiny particles. You never know it's history.

My 928 originally had oil coolers incorporated in the coolant rad side tanks, but the Behr rads didn't last forever and the oil/coolant would mix in the end, later models had a separate oil cooler in the airflow

I don't see the value unless you regularly use the car in the winter
