Hi, just bought myself a cerb, 97 4.2 in blue pearl, picking it up on Wednesday (can't wait for the drive home). Looking to get it booked straight in for a service etc.
Now that joospeed aren't servicing, where do you recommend in the yorkshire area, I've shortlisted HL Gorner in Wigan or richard Thorpe racing in Sheffield.
Anyone got any recomendations on either of the above or elsewhere. Cheers........

Ian in Middlewich, Middlewich MOT Centre

Telephone: 01606 831244
Address: Unit E Sheriff House, Nantwich Road, Middlewich, CW10 0LH

Cheaper than a dealer, and much more knowledgeable. Ex Chris-Neill mechanic.

Another vote for Ian. I've yet to hear anything bad about the bloke, in fact I only ever hear total praise for him and his work and his attitude. If you're anywhere near the north west he stands head and shoulders above anyone else in the area.

If you want to PM me for a list of who you can trust to do good work, and who you can trust to fleece you right left and centre please contact me through my profile.

If its dealer service then dont forget your Yorkshire Dealer at Harrogate
The sales dept used to leave something to be desired but service has and still is getting praise

If non franchised then elsewhere!

Cheers for all your suggestions, looks like Ian in middlewich may be getting a call' .
I picked the cerb up on wednesday, had an amazing drive home, all 230 miles of it, M23, M25, Dartford tunnel, (nearly went back round, just for another listen to that noise!) M11, A1 & M62, no problems and I can certainly say I'm hooked!
It was far better than the journey down on the train & probably faster at times'

Just a quick note to let you know the cerb went for it's service yesterday, I was recomended to go to
name said:
Ian @ middlewich
and i'm now passing on that recomendation,

a top bloke,
knows his stuff,
tells you as it is,
excellent value for money,
he also has a nice shiney garage floor!

Advice- take a sleeping bag, it was 3'clock in the morning when I left there this morning, there's not that many mechanics that'll be still setting your car up on the laptop at 2am thats for sure. Dedication!

I'm in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, so it's a fair distance for myself, but well justified, surely you could find a good twisty road to take you accross the peaks, for myself I'm right on the M62, a little bit of a boring drive but very quick, especially on the return journey.

hi there everyone; would just like to point out a few things about me & my company; first i would like to say that in the three years we have been trading we have only had one customer who has been un happy with our service which i found quite funny because instead of bringing it to our attention so we could sort it out for him he went on here telling everone else; well it seems like we have another one (ie paul cerbera owner) well i would just like to say that if he thought he was getting ripped off as he put it then why not question the bill before paying it ??; i am very fair with all of my customers which has you all know we have plenty of so if there is a problem with a car or bill i would expect any customer to say so; if i dont know then how can i help put it right!!!; as for paul he brought the car back with i faulty starter motor which we replaced free of charge & also ordered parts on his say so which are still sat in our stores now as he has not picked them up. has for anything else which he is un happy about i would love to know as he did not seem to unhappy when paying his bill. and paul if you read this please you know my number & email and where i am so if you would like to decuss with me please do. also i love the one about being sacked from tvr!!!!! really there are some sad people out there!!!!!. well there is that bit over so if any of you normal customers would like some information from us please feel free to call me anytime. sha ne @ sfr

I recomend Ian aswell,he's been looking after my cerb for the last 18 months, top bloke. He even called to my house one evening with his laptop, now thats service.
He's fitting HT leads for me tomorrow evening, would'nt it be a perfect world if all TVR mechanics were this dedicated.
