Carbon Canister Removal

could someone give me some advice on what all needs to be done relating to the removal of the charcoal canister.

There are a couple of bands that go round the canister with studs that go through the panel and appear behind the rear passenger seat.

Take out the helmet holder and reach round into the cavity below the rear shelf. You should be able to find the nuts on the studs.

Mine were so rusted I had to cut them off from the outside with a dremel.

Same for me. Input srainless straps on now. I am busy restoring the cerb. Decided to put it back in although some told Me to leave it out.

I was more thinking what pipe needs the relieve valve and what in the engine is it that needs blanked off. The canister itself has been out for years.

The pipe that feeds the valve is the tank breather pipe, which If I remember correctly comes from the back of the filler pipe at the top of the petrol tank.

The engine end goes to the wee cross of pipes at the back of the engine - vacuum recovery pipe

IIRC I removed mine with a crowbar.
