Hello, does it matter which hose pipe I connect to the matrix? I mean, is there 1 connection where the hot water goes in and is the other the return? Or doesnt it matter?

Goedemorgen Arjen,

I can't answer your question, I'm afraid

BUT

I can steal your thread and ask my own question of the amassed posse
( Almost on the same subject...)

Does anyone know where this bd goes to ?

When I disassembled the Injection / Ignition System, I found the pipe was perished and, as you can see, had been leaking. I cut the perished end off and reinstalled because it disappeared off into the bulkhead
BUT
I am beginning to realise that it must be part of the heater system.

Anyone got any comments coz I would really like to replace it ?

Ta !

That looks like the vacuum pipe for the brake servo.

Would you expect rusty water to come out of it, Gordon ?

Can't say for sure with a Cerb but makes no difference on the older cars.

Not what you'd expect Paul, but if your servo is rusted up and you still have suction from the inlet manifold - you might suck up some rusty water.

Shine a torch into the drivers footwell and try to see the bottom of the servo. If it's rusty then you should probably definitely replace it. I caught mine before it failed, but it couldn't have been far away.

Unfortunately it's pedal box out, but from what I remember - you can unbolt the master cylinder and leave all the brake pipes connected.

Still a sh**ty job :-(

Cheers, Squire thumbup

I will go subterranean and have a look....

Actually that would be good for me, coz I have been putting off taking the Pedal Box out for some time (It 's required to remove the last A/C component).

Looks like I'll have to make a proper job of it now laugh
