Steering wheel switches all work intermittently
Discussion
Hey everyone! I’m thinking there must be a bad earth connection or something for all the switches to be working intermittently. I’ve had a nose round the steering wheel wiring but can’t find an issue. Any ideas folks - the ribbon cable sounds the likely culprit?

Broken ribbon cable, probably at the steering wheel end. When putting it back, apply a little hot glue gun to stop it flexing so much.
You can take the plug apart, cut off the broken end, fine sandpaper down the ribbon to expose the contacts and carefully solder it back together to save £80.

Later Chims have 2.2 turns lock to lock as opposed to 2.5 on early cars and it’s something I really like.
Coming from years of cart fun I hate slow speed steering.
I often have to grab the steering wheel at six and twelve o’clock before turning some modern supercars I drive at work or my hands would end up completely crossed?
Tvr got that bit totally correct on later cars imho.
