do a search for chassis rust or the like and you will find some sad tales ..
I have just finished welding in a new section of tube that sits under the exhaust manifolds due to holes in it.
the drivers side was worst other side surface rust only .. all my powder coating is very poor and am spending ages chipping it away rubbing down repainting and waxoyl ...
on speaking to others the top tube problem is common.. the outriggers are also an issue
also do a search on LS1 in the cerb forum and you will see pics of a cerb with body off!
still at least the body wont rot!! (just stonechip and craze ... )
Oh the joys !! ... good luck with your search .. DAS

cheers for that.
I did a search before posting and was shocked to hear some of the stories, what i am wondering tho is which is the main part that suffers the most? ie like you said the top tube. Is it possible to see that part of the chassis with the body still attached etc...ie can i observe it when looking over some cars? thanks!
