Whilst I had the steering column out I noticed this controller, it looks like it should have a knob on it for adjustment. It’s located on the A pillar, near where the under dash panel is secured. I treated it like the silver key that must never be touched.
Bit hard to see if there are any wires attached to the rear....guess it's a rheostat?
If it is the same as the Tuscan it's a 'coarse' adjustment for the a/c outlet temp. Be wary though, set too cold and the evaporator matrix in the heater will ice up. Nick
