Well...got back from France after a 1500 mile round trip and she performed better than (my mates) expected.

Great drive down...tunnels provided MUCH amusement, now it decat and sports pipe it was pretty deafening. confirmation from many drivers is that she spits luvverly blue flames.

Dont the French love thes babies (and rightly so!) - never ever had so much attention and I must say it had lots more attention than my buds T350. Colour probably swayed it. 'smile' camera phones all over the place as we were driving by.

A few problems cropped up -

1) Exhaust seems to be blowing and rattling (heat shield hopefully)...spirited driving may be the cause.

2) Water temp needle decided to visit the oil pressure needle at the toll booth! Promptly followed by a load of steam and 3 litres of water. Fans have packed up (or temp sensor)

3) Window stopped, then started, then stopped etc.

4) Main lights packed up about 3 miles from home! Only 15hrs and 800 miles into the journey - Phew!

I must say i was surprised how comfy it was, particularly on the way home after a 12hr stint at the seat with only 1hr break.

And the interesting bit... 90 euro fine for doing 167

KMH not MPH! I know..poor!

And fuel...well I am reckoning with spirited driving I was dragging about 25-26 mpg.

I reckon you must use a litre everytime you start it up when driving in spurts!

Hi Steve.

Your lights problem.

If it just the headlights that have packed in, and the side/main beam still work, check the black box on the fuel tank. Mine packed in, and this was the cause.

Yeah, cheers kojak - checked that and gave them a wiggle. flickered on and off. Seems the wires on the plug are a bit corroded..

Exhaust clamp is loose on left hand side. think its the decat pipe to downpipe end..sort that tomorrow.
