value of a cerb

If you offered me £2k less than asking price you'd get a boot up your arse.
Cerbs normally sell cheap because its either a problem car that hasn't been sorted, it's a mess or the owner needs to sell quickly - really quickly.
I'd guess that Griff values are stronger because its been a 'classic' for longer. Cerbera production only finished relatively recently.
Also there is the feeling that they cost more to run than the RV8 cars, maybe this is something to do with it.
I would guess that values will fall for a few years, then they will become like wedges/griffs where they seem to never drop any further.

If you want a cerb then find a good one and pay the right price. 4.5s are 18 - 22K private for a 98 - 00 yr in great order. if you are wary then move to the BMW site (oops vanos) or porsche (oops RMS) or Ferrari (oops too expensive)...
Dont fool yourself that there is such a thing as a cheap cerb - that is really very rare.
Hang out in the cerb chat room and find a well cared for example from a known and caring owner that has got a fat wad of bills. Bobs your auntie.

When i was looking to buy, I searched the usual avenues, autotrader etc. I saw three cars, which were tatty to say the least, yet the owners still wanted top money for them.
Luckily, i found the one I wanted at Hexham
however, I went to see one from a fellow PH'er and that was a well cared for car, I just wasn't too keen on the colour.
The tatty cars, I dare say I could have picked them up really cheap, but the good Ph'er car wouldn't budge on price.
The harder they haggle, the better the car IMHO.
