yet another alarm thread

i was justreading with interest some of the alarm problems on forums and thought thats strange ive never heard any noises from my cerb when arming or disarming so just ran outside and held the button for 16 seconds or so and nothing absolutely nothing car locks,flashes does everything else but will not make a sound perhaps it knows how much the exhaust tone annoys the neihbour and dosnt want to cause any more noise issues any one know possible cause for no sound
