C.R.E.A.M Noise Results & Info

Ok folks, some updates for you post my return visit to Elvington, home of [URL]C.R.E.A.M 2005|http://www.cream2005.info[/URL].

With just over 3 weeks to go, it's REALLY hotting up [pic]http://www.aauk.biz/gifs/sun.gif[/pic] and everything is coming together.

We are so close to this being a Cerbera only track day (currently 24 on track with 30 drivers),
and close to 200 people booked to attend, so PLEASE, just a few more are needed to book and
we can run the track exclusively for the Cerbs. :yes:

A few of you have recently asked about the 105DB noise limit?
When we booked the venue, plain and simple, there was no limit, the main reason for this location.
Sadly that changed back in March and every event now has a 105db noise restriction which is still
one of the highest out there.

So with that in mind, I carried out some tests at the weekend and the bottom line results are these.

Running sports exhausts, my car ran between 104db and 106db peaking at 109db on the pops.

However, by adding the silencers that are available to purchase (there will be only a limited supply for
hire on the day), that was massively cut back to between 97 and 101db on the pops!

Very impressive stuff, so you might just want to invest in a set if you are running sports exhausts,
but almost certainly, if you are decatted! :yes:

Remember, it is [b]strongly[/b] advised that you order these in advance, so contact me for further

you could be faced with not running and the track day company will not refund you.

Onto other news:
There will be a lot of new information released in the next few days that will help everyone enjoy
the event and you'll be pleased to hear, there will be MAJOR developments and expansions to

TCR has grown to the extent that is now able to expand and that means better management
of a NEW website with more facilities, news, options and yet more events for Cerbera owners!

Do I remember correctly that there will be a high speed run session for all Cerb's? If someone was to stay very quiet all day, but then blasted down the runway exceeding the noise limit, would that be too naughty or will they have to fit the silencers aswell?

There will indeed be a high speed run session lasting an hour.

In theory the same rules apply as above, however, I hope the monitors may be a little more flexible,
but it's out of my hands.

Again, if you think you will be over the limit, better to invest in some or book a rental pair.

There WILL be more events in 2006, so hopefully you won't use them once only.

I have a pair of silencers for track days that fit inplace of the cats, takes the car to about 95db. But they take about an hour to fit. if anybody who is really worried about the noise limit wants to borrow them they are quite welcome, you would have to come and pick them up in West Yorkshire though.
