Any owners near Perth?
Discussion
I hear this is a friendly place! I'm mulling over the possibility of a Cerbera but I'm not yet ready to take the plunge. I therefore don't want to waste a seller's time by looking over their pride and joy or their dealer stock. Are there any owners near Perth who would be open to showing me round their car, pointing out bits to look for, and generally giving me their opinion on engine variants etc?
I've been on here a reasonable while so make your own assessment as to whether I fall into the loony camp...
TIA

Thanks Rob - I haven't seen one around here for ages but I'd be happy to travel a couple of hours each way if an enthusiastic owner is lurking. I guess that would expand the area to include Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. I keep telling myself that my daily driver's lack of driving aids (no ABS etc) might serve me well. But as it's a Defender I suspect the only other thing they have in common is their approach to panel gaps!

Contact this guy, I’m sure he knows somebody who can help you out.

Would it be worth joining a TVR club to find out when meets are happening? If so, which one?
To be honest the car club doesnt do much around central Scotland right now. Regions further North and a towards the West are more active. This months Sprint mag may be useful for you though. The locals around Edinburgh are active and Im sure you would be welcomed with open arms, we just don't orginise in any official format... yet!

Yep. Well I think that was actually alarm I was showing rather than joy - but it hit the right spot. What an incredible noise and feel. It felt alive! I feel that giving you the keys to my remapped Defender was definitely a poor second prize and thanks again for the diet-busting bacon sarnies. Mrs w1bbles is bought into the plan and when I described my non-resonated Milltek RS6 as sounding very ‘meh’ in comparison she got all interested…
