Kar Kingdom

There is an 03 4.5 with 13K on the clock for sale at Kar Kingdom for about £24K (see autotrader website for details). This has been for sale for a good few months so I assume there is some issue with it given the price. Has anybody seen it? Don't want to traipse down to see it if someone has any info on it. I suppose it could just be that no one would tend to look in a place like that for a Cerbie

As I told the last person last time asking about this car. This phoned the guy before I phoned HPI and Kar Kingdom told me that it only had minor damage. No worries come down and test drive it. When I phoned HPI they told me Cat C total loss, insurance didn't recomend repairing but someone did anyway.

STAY WELL AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful - there have been other cars on this site where one erson has said Cat C loads of damage and then someone who knows their stuff has corrected them ie it is easy for a cerb to be cat c even if the damage is only superficial (ie no chassis damage).
BUT a CAT C car should be cheaper than the price at Kar and one should probably ensure it hasnt got compromised service history AND that Kars mechanics havent been fiddling PLUS all the usual cerb buyer checks. If it is an excellent car but CAT C then I wouldnt pay more than £19K for that car.

It's been for sale there for about 6 months to my knowledge as it was on the Autotrader website when I was looking for a suitable Cerb in March. Price seemed cheap then until I discovered it was once writtten off as a Cat C loss. Stay well clear.

No not nesessarily, but I do believe the dealer has been a little 'conservative with the truth' with the extent of the damage on this one.......but having said that I for one, have no problem with a properly repaired Cat C car, having driven many such cars in the past...when my Dad was alive he bought/sold/repaired salvage cars as his living...

Cat C and D cars are always quite tempting, but the main problem I have with them is that I'd be more than happy to drive a Cat C car that I'd had the repairs done myself. I'd be less happy buying one with the repairs already done unless I knew the garage that did the the repairs...
