Clutch and England cricket - can i take any more??

Anybody able to offer a diagnosis - last week got into the car and the clutch pedal travel seemed to have shortened but would go into gear ok and thought perhaps i was imagining it. Three days later, after using the car ok each day in between went to drive off Sat morning and clutch pedal travel very short, would not go into any gear, except reverse. Left it and got into the shopping trolley. Tried to look at the clutch reservoir but couldn't find it. Seems it is under a sealed section. The car is a 99 4.2. The original clutch was changed at 19500 about 18 months ago, have since done 8000 miles. When the clutch was changed also had new seals, new master cylinder, new release bearing, new seals etc etc to try to head this kind of thing off - doesn't seem to have worked. Any thoughts?
Have a look at the fluid; under the sealed panel (remember to reseal it). If the fluid has gone down or there are black bits in it then it is the slave or the master cylinders gone. Then take a look under the car, if there is fluid on the floor then its looking like the slave, if there isn’t any then it still could be the slave, just no evidence.
Check the top of the clutch pedal. See if the mater cylinder has weaped any fluid.
Would a 99 car have the later clutch? Do you have to push the pedal a long way before there is any pressure?
