Daggarts Red Rose,443.4bhp on Austec rollers!!!!!!
Discussion
Its true i was with daggart today at Austec and his Cerb gave 443.4bhp (389.1 at the wheels), 422.3ft/lbs (373 ft/lbs at the wheels). It started off with 403bhp and 410ft/lbs at the flywheel.
The engine is a TVR Power Red Rose with the new ACT induction kit and the ECU has been mapped, result!.
By the way it goes like sh?t off a shovel!!!!.
Is this the best yet?.

A 4.5 red-rose giving those bhp and torque figures is definitely in a league of its own!
A big feckin frog leap mind you!
We'll probably find out in a few days that 'shes' a special one too!
Hang on a sec, daggart is back in a cerbera???? When did this happen?
Oh I found a sure way of determing bhp figures, I put my arse up to the cars rear, pull me pants down and hang me veggies over the outlet of the exhaust, in the case of two exhausts I've gotta stretch quite far.... and then you leave it out of gear and just floor the throttle, with no drivetrain losses, me goolies can give you sure bhp/torque figures
Just playin around, but before we believe just anything which gets plastered up on here, can we see the charts for ourselves, this as far as I'm concerned, has to be framed up!!!! if true that is... and High definition scans please!!!!!!!!!

I had mine questioned as well
Seems like we all do if we dont get the power runs done north of Watford Gap
However, off to SRR this morning and hopefully a back to back run at Austec tomorrow to match outputs if nothing else
Top work Daggart, remind me to let you go first at the traffic lights
(my car's output seems weedy now against some of these new claims..hmm, what else can I have done
..no, only joking...kinda

Questions will always be asked when power runs havn't been verified and finally at last today should be the day that Austec cars finally run at SRR.
Can't believe it's actually gonna happen..... I mean after the Cerb shootout ooohhh ages ago, no Austec cars were fit to run. Then the incredible induction mods magically gaining 50bhp+ (lmao)supposedly these cars were going to SRR just after Le Mans, how long ago was that? Never happened. I think you gotta understand some guys questioning power runs here.
Hope someone can post the magic numbers on here.........can't wait. Must get mine back down there at some point when Joo has done the next batch of upgrades. Hoped to be there today but I'm busy!

Lets not start all this in-fighting bullshit talking about stupid horsepower, Craig and I will flatten the lot of ya with a blink when our babies are out and about
Look, in the game of horsepower, things have to be proven.
So stop fecking around and jump down to Surrey Rolling Road for a test run to get the figures and then bang them up.
Theres dozens of customers on here that lost interest in the intakes/fuel injectors/mapping mods because the in-house fighting just went OTT, and they didnt wanna go here or there in fear of getting put into this or that group.
ME, I've always been neutral. BUT I am not gonna sit around here like a feckin numpty and believe every figure that gets plasted up on here, either from Trackcar or Austec or TVR or whoever else might claim this and that, until I've seen some rolling road figures from an officially calibrated rolling road or at least an independant road which ALL tuners can use as benchmark to work with.
If the TVR tuning world is to grow and be a fair place for customers to choose their upgrades in, a standard independant benchmark is required, and this is where Vixpy came in, he's honest and straight to the point and no feckin around with gears and shite or whatever.
Its time we laid this in-house bitch-slapping to rest.
Lets JUST BE sportsmen-like about this..
IF ANY TUNER out there comes out with an upgrade and wants to show off their results, BE PREPARED to get challenged by MOST techies and non-numpties, we have been around the cerbera world long enough to know what kinda BHP figures float here and there, so if anything out the ordinary POPS UP...
THERE'LL BE QUESTIONS!
THIS has NOTHING to do with WHICH TUNER DID IT!
So cut the crap before I blow my top and get sin-binned again.
PEACE AND HARMONY AND ALL THAT SHITE.
LETS JUST MAKE IT A FAIR WORLD!
Our cerbera community is small as it is, keep it close you tuners sort your acts out, make-up and get more professional about things.
Stop getting some odd numpty here and there to plaster figures up, if Daggart was interested in putting up his figures, why didnt he himself? rather than someone else who seems to have only ever posted 11 times and the past 10 times seem to be sooo long ago that they dont even appear in his recent topics summary in his profile?????
Bloody pointless these threads,
A simple F'in question like 'prove it - dyno-charts please?' and feckin kids jumpin all over the place, and bleedin seasiders from the griffith shores jumping in...
WHAT IS THIS???
A free for all jammy thread?
Get feckin real and sort it out.
I'm just after facts, and if someones gonna rub my nose into this shite between tuners thats just feckin not on.
I aint associated to no tuner out there, I'm safe with all, theres nothing wrong with being inquisitive, its a natural effin response.
So stop screwing this thread up. If there is NO dyno-run charts to put up, then feckin close the useless thread. Sorry but when it comes to BHP/TORQUE - PROVE IT!
I'M VERY SERIOUS ABOUT POWER CLAIMS, AND I'M FECKIN INDEPENDANT! :FURIOUS:

Hi all.Yep the graphs are as follows.
First run no mods.TVR Power Red Rose engine,de-cat,sports pipes, running on super unleaded.
403.5bhp at the flywheel 355bhp at the wheels.
max speed 123.4
max torque 410.2 ft/lbs
max rpm 5919
After the ACT induction kit was fitted and the ECU was mapped by God i mean Paul Austin.
flywheel bhp 443.4 389.1 at the wheels
max torque 422.3 373 at the wheels
max rpm 6251
max speed 130.3
Its now like driving the car off the chassis!.Paul spoke to Mark Adams halfway through the session when the car was giving 435 at the flywheel and with Marks help Paul got it up to 443.4bhp.
I don't know why we have so many sceptics on PH.Steve T's Cerb gave 357bhp at the wheels on the Austec rollers and thats not a Red Rose.I guess if anyones got any doubts phone Paul at Austec.
firkin'ell... thats a massive gain... impressive stuff...
Dont worry about the sceptics, its just an age old thing, bhp is one of those things that normally get settled on the drag-strip for big-boys. But in PH's case it seems to be just threads and claims...
I hear Neils down at SRR today so that will be the first independant dyno run out
Without being independantly run, yours stands as currently the most powerful red-rose 4.5 out there!
No wander we're all sceptic!!!!
When you get a chance and 30 odd quid, pop over to SRR and get some graphs for us old chap!
Oh, btw, great to have you back!

SXS the reason i didn't post the figures my self yesterday is because i was driving home at the time from Austec. The reason scania164 posted them is because a) he was there when the magical momment happened b) he also has a copy of the graphs c)HE'S MY TWIN BROTHER NUMPTY!!!!.
lol
sorry mate, my emotions got the better of me, its just that whenever I challenge bhp claims, someone is always thinking I've got a hidden agenda! and that really winds me up, if yours is a smasher then I'll be the first to congratulate you, but independant rollers is the only way I work, I'm sure you understand the reasons why
I'll be at asutec open day tomorrow! Hope to see you there!

Not a Cerb but you can use these SRR results for comparison...
That's pretty spectacular with huge torque and no revs at all. What was that, a truck engine?
Sounds like one of those 'cheater kits' under the hood... a small shot of NOS...
Seriously though, seasider, get your original tuner chart up and spec us a list of what you've had done to her!

I had my car tuned at Austec a week ago and I am quite happy with the results. It's a very fast car and that is enough for me.
I completely agree with Ash and I am going to put my car on independent rollers again very soon to check the power output. Not to demonstrate the power output here in Pistonheads but for myself. If the power output is not the same as the output from Austec's rollers, I will have a chat with Paul and discuss the results.
BTW, all the power outputs should be given at the wheels always because that is exactly the real usable power. A reference to the external conditions could be mentioned as a reference to calculate possible flywheel figures.
BUT it is important to run the cars in the same conditions, that is, the same gear. I know for a fact that the 357 BHP was given in third gear and I know that in that gear the BHP losses are around 40 BHP. Therefore, that car was not a 400BHP monster really.
My car gave 327 BHP at the wheels in fourth gear. In fourth gear, the BHP losses are around 70BHP. Therefore, we have very similar cars, none of them in the 400BHP range but quite close. Both of them are very fast cars and I am sure that Steve T is very happy aswell.
There are no miracles in the tunning world and if someone claims something way ahead of the rest, I understand that some people want to know why.
And how do I know all this? Because I do not believe everything that I hear and I try to get some information here and there :
: Regards.
