just a quickie (story of my life)

hi gang,

i had a blow out on the right rear of my cerb yesterday, in the wet and erm...at speed.oh, crap.

anyway, ho hum, no harm done (except to my wallet as i was on my way to the dealers to exchange the car for another, rats rats rats) but i now have to get a pair of tyres for the rear. because I'm looking to sell it, I'm going to keep bridgestones on the back, so that i don't have to replace the fronts to match. the size and tyre i currently have is bridgestone potenza so3 255/ 35Z r18 90Y. Ive had a quick look around and mytyres.co.uk seems to be okayish on price (any others?) but the sizes I'm finding are different, IE:

Potenza RE 040 255/35 R18 90Y double marking, 90 ZR, BW

or Potenza RE 050 A 255/35 R18 90Y

can somebody explain to me what the RE 050 A/ 040 relates to, and what double marking means (is that unidirectional?) and what the BW relates to?

im torn between an exige, an m3, a t350t and a porsche 911 (993), in no particular order of preference (displacement activity, anyone?).

i had planned to spend a bit of time in each of them at the weekend, right up until the point my rear end exploded at speed, shortly followed by my rear end exploding at speed.
