Last attempt to keep car when new little one arrives
Discussion
In order to try and get my wife to try and drive my car I need to try and make it as close to a normal car as it can get! :) One of the obvious problems is the handbrake, mine is sh1t and don't even use it anymore. I know you can get them tightened, but that seems to wear off after a couple of tugs. Don't understand how it cn be so difficult to make a bloody handbrake work (watching swordfish last night and laughed when the Travolta pulls the handbrake and the Tuscans wheels lock!!!) . Anyone have one that works and if so how does one go about getting it done :)
As far as I AM AWARE...
There is ONLY one man, who has a PERMANENT FIX for this!
Its our very own Joolz (Trackcar).
Drop him a line!
But if you find Sheffield a bit of a trek,
you could drive into Autocraft and ask them to have a look. Dont blame me if you drive out of there with an integrated rocket firing system though

I had a Joospeed© modification done to mine which made it much better. Still needs a firm pull on the lever but it holds on just about any hill.
I don't know exactly what Jools did though, which doesn't help you, but it does show that a working handbrake is possible.

Do you need some sort of invitation to get to Autocraft (heard they were on an army base) or can I just drive us there? I live 15 miles from them

Dave has a few good friends at a few army bases in that area who come in useful now and again. But they do also run a workshop on an industrial estate. Best thing you can do if you only live 15miles away, is just pop along, and have a good old chat with Dave. Tell him i sent ya!

There must be a few out there.I called around to my local indie and told him i had no handbrake,he just laughed and told me to drive on the ramps 2mins later one perfect handbrake. That was 12 months ago, still working.
just noticed he's in middlewich a bit to far.Give him a phone call you will find he is very helpfull.
