I think I clipped the curb but so gently Im not even sure whether I did or not :scratchchin:
Since the incident though, a sound (which sounds very much like the air conditioner unit switching on) has started. The sound occurs every minute or two, does sound very much like the aircon unit.
When I hear the sound, I can feel it too, as a very very faint vibration in the accelerator pedal.
If I did clip the curb (gently) is there anything which could possibly have been affected which might sound like an aircon compressor, or is this likely to be another cerbera niggle which coincidentally started acting up at the same time as the brakes locking?
If the aircon unit is faulty (air con does seem to work ok) what are possible repair/replacement costs.

Does it sound like a relay engageing ?
If so have you had your alarm siren disconnected ?
Sometimes it sounds once, somtimes a few times over several seconds, its totally intermittant (if that sheds any light?)
Having said that, I have never heard my alarm siren go off, praps my alarm siren was disconnected?
Bob, will it click whilst the car's not moving at tick over ?
If so with the bonnet up, can you be more specific about the area ?
Does anyone no if there are any relays under the bonnet ?
I presume the starter motor relay is under there.
( a relay by the way, is when you have small wiring or small buttons that need to operate an item that they are not capable of operating, due to excessive current draw from said item.
The relay doesn't draw much current and is in effect a switch that then connects that item to the battery)
The one's on the cerb are quite, but if you press your fog lamp or main beam, you should hear the relays in the boot click)
