Interesting Cerb on ebay
Discussion
LINK DELETED, CAR ALREADY DISCUSSED ON THIS FORUM
This is an interesting car. It seems to have a TVR history, and quite a high bid price already for a 1997 Car. I didn't know a Cerb could do 198. Does this mean the engine was tampered with in some way because it was a press car?

Is it the yellow one? TVR100?
That car used to have extra horses. I know someone who has driven it etc.... It used to have carbon trumpets but these seem to have disappeared. Would be interesting to see what spec engine it has now.
Looks like it might struggle to reach its reserve.
My car was once photographed by someone and was thrashed by a journalist. Who will start me at £21K ?

Wow I don't know about the speed - but 198 would make me very scared in a Cerb (with standard shocks springs).
As for the price...this seems ok for a car of that history and such low mileage - though I am interested in the line 'ENGINE FULLY RE-BUILT TO SAME SPEC. AS IT WAS'...
Interesting to see how much it goes for - and who buys it.

I reckon if it didnt have the history but was low miles and everything refurbed etc then it might push 18K for a 4.5. (albeit it is in need of upgraded suspension!). So 4K or 5K for the history might be worth it to someone - personally I think whoever would pay over 20K is mad. Each to their own. But 33K - yeah right.

But if someone else started it is it then ok?

Can't really be helped if that's the case, however it's easy to see if people are taking the pi$$ with it. It's just that if adverts were allowed in the forums (posting your own) then there would be nothing other than adverts or at least real threads would soon get lost in a sea of adverts. That's why the classified section is on PH.

Fair enough. Perhaps PH needs a FOR SALE forum for cars, parts and loose women so people can view it if they wish.
Funnily enough there is a classified section which is available to all individual members free of charge.

I don't believe at this stage loose women can be traded via the PH classifieds, however should laws change and market forces make it a useful addition, I'm sure PetrolTed will review the situation.
