New Cerbie Owner Signing up!

Been reading this board over the past few weeks. I've just taken delivery of 1999 Cerbera 4.5.:thumbup:

I'm new to TVR ownership so thought I'd introduce myself here and ask you "old" hands if there's anything I should know?? Apart from what's on the boards of course.

Can't wait to get in and drive it!

you'll have to get yourself down to some of the TVR events that are always being arranged,people are always willing to give advise, although you have just missed out on CREAM, the biggest cerbera event ever!!!

I wouldn't say I'm old hand and don't know much technical stuff,I leave that to the other half, but I do love driving it and meeting other people who love their car just as much

Take it easy for the first few weeks, then build up to it. Check the oil and water at least once a week, if ur going on a long run check the oil.

Always good to keep some spares and tools in the boot.

Blimey - only had it a day and getting advice about carrying spares! What's the common stuff to go? What tools to carry??

I'm in Frimley/Camberley - just off junc 3 of the M3.

You don't need spares - just a good breakdown recovery company No seriously, on the whole they are not as bad as some might make out. Just keep her serviced, drive her right, and generally look after her, and you should be fine

PMSL, yea right, works for me. I'm now in the position of a partial engine rebuild or the full monty, and that's after a 48K service last week.

Seriously though, just enjoy it, but do remember it is hand built and things will go wrong occasionally, how wrong depends on how lucky you are!
