Wait times to get Cerbs in for service...?

There are a couple of cerbs outside David Batty - one has been sat outside there for 3 weeks and the other for 2 weeks. He must have some hell of a waiting list !!!

Why is the supply of AP clutches so temperamental?

I happen to know someone who has done just that! ...full AP clutch kit inc thrust bearing...sits on a shelf in the garage, just incase!

Obtained from Jason at Peninsula 01395 232241 and cost £581.22 inc P/P, this time last year...

Both awaiting clutches. Clutch master cylinders are also proving difficult to source readily.

So are UJs for steering columns, 18" alloys, and see-throu TVR rear number plates.

So surely we should do something about the clutch situation? Can we not find a supplier to make some up ie surely we can promise to buy (between us, the indies etc) about 100 a year?
Anyone in the automotive trade who can sort?!!

Hello Gary,



We are currently producing clutches based on the demands and orders given by TVR. As you are aware, manufacturing of TVR components stopped for a number of months last year before the company was sold. Priority has therefore been put on new car builds before the spares market.



These clutch assemblies are exclusive to TVR and it is up to them to distribute them out to the dealers or keep them for their own assembly lines.

So it seems that TVR control the supply for clutches. so any issues with supply are down to them.

Do they use the same clutch assembly on the speed 6 engine then?....cos thats the only engine that leaves Blackpool these days.....
