HI All,

I've not posted in ages. Which must mean the car has been working.

I'm looking for some thoughts on what might be going on here.

On Friday I took the car out for a short run at lunch time. Everything was fine (it passed its mot the day before, emissions were fine). It then sat in the sun and heat until the evening. Took it for a 25 mile run and it would misfire and cough and bang all over the place. More than one cylinder. It would seem to clear and then come back. I couldn't see anything obvious from the App data.
I parked up, opened the fuel filer (with a rush of air) and then left it for two hours in the shade. After that it fired up and did the return journey without a fault.

I like a self fixing fault as much as the next person but any ideas what might have caused this?

I was thinking vapour lock in the fuel lines due to heat.
