Twice in as many weeks, I've had insects (of the stingy variety), ricochet off the door mirror and into the cabin. Not just into the cabin though, as one of them hit me straight in the nose at 60mph headache and the other bounced off the seat and proceeded to sting me in the back.

Feckers. censored

Anyone else experienced similar??

No, mostly hundreds seems to be dying against the front of my car every drive I take (every move I make, I'll be splattering you)

I took a bee at about 85 straight onto the crash helmet on a motorbike. That knocked my head back.
I used to hit a pigeon about twice a week on the bike when commuting through Savernake Forest

I had a bee bounce off my chest and onto the visor of my bike helmet. Naturally, I turned my head to the side to blow it off with the wind but the little bugger didn't move. It was at that point I realised it have bounced up and inside my helmet, perched on the little shelf made by the inside of the visor, slowly coming round from a concussion. Not sure I've ever stopped a bike and removed a helmet as quickly as that as I did that day.

OP - have you tried closing the window and using A/C? hehe

Other than it being nice to drive along with the window open, the AC is waiting for a part to become available.

Savernake forest on the motorbike cool - That run from Beckhampton to Hungerford is superb but was always on the lookout for deer when going through Savernake.

Extend it a bit and start in Calne. The first bit over the top to Beckhampton is lovely.
