You'll soon guess from this post that i'm not mechanically minded!

The button under the door mirror on the drivers side won't do anything (last worked at Cream whilst lining up for high spead run!). The button on the inside of the door still brings window down and opens door. No problem on passenger side. Any suggestions on how to fix or what to check out please and, assuming I need to take door mirror apart, how to do it?

Many thanks!!!!!!

Not had this problem myself....but at a guess I would say the connector inside the door is corroded....the water that runs down the glass, and should vent from the bottom of the door, usually causes a problem with poorly insulated connectors.....but Im sure someone here will tell me Im wrong and give you correct info...

I would agree with Paddy.

Just take the inner panel off (8 screws), and clean the multi connector. Hopefully, this will cure it.

I had the same problem on my passenger side. Then 2 weeks later the inside button stopped working too.

Mine was corroded contacts behind the door card as suggested but a clean up only worked for a few weeks until it played up again. I started again and I cut off the old plugs and crimped new ones on.

Not had any trouble with it since.

These door looms are a PITA!

I hve re-made the looms in both the doors with different connectors, I guess thaats what TVR should have done from new, tut tut.

Agree with everyone else. Take off the door panels. Get rid of the cr@p connections and replace with something up to the job of holding a couple of wires together (i.e not the ones TVR use to possibly save a couple of pennies). Tape it all up with electrical tape to stop any water getting in. Now this is important. Check everything works before putting the panel back on Including the speakers!! Then once you have done it properly, no more (they all do that sir bollox)
