how did he manage to stop with those beetle brakes!!!
I had some mates in the early 90s who used to stick V8s in beetles and variants , paint em silk black etc.. Great mean cars. One of the guys had twin turbos on his V8 powered beetle. Not sure what it pulled at santa pod but it was very funny!!

Ash, notice in the comments from Sleath's website that the roll cage has been tagged to 8.50... are you taking this into account with your cage?
