Farmyardpants helped me out with the first part of my problem with the door windows. The windows do not close 100% in height. I am missing about 5 millimeters or a bit more. The windows are not in their lowest position in the 2 clamps. Is there another way to adjust the height?

This is a common problem. The window control box times how long it takes the window to drop (to hit the microswitch), and uses this to decide how long the window should be raised for. This is a rubbish solution because the windows go down faster than they go up. Maybe someone clever could add a potentiometer to the control box to allow the up time to be adjusted.

You can verify that this is the case by sitting in the car with the door closed and window fully up, then open the door but press your hand against the glass to slow its progress. Then when you close the door, the glass will go all the way up.

Solutions are the same as for slow windows:
I have fitted a remote controlled RF relay that allows me to raise the drivers window (as well as open the doors and boot) from buttons on a remote control.
