Wheel Bearings
Discussion
Gah
I've read a number of threads on here about Cerbera wheel bearings being problematic and different parts under the same part number etc. I'm replacing all 4 and, worried about issues, just bought 4 from a well known supplier that came as complete hub and bearing assemblies.
Have refurbished the uprights, reassembling the chassis and none of them fit. Not just a paint issue, 1-3mm difference between the ID of the holes in the uprights (front and rear) and the OD of the hub/bearing.
Comparing the new ones with original, yes the original ones are chamfered, the new ones are not. Is this the case with all new bearings/hubs? Can I buy new ones already chamfered or do i need to get them machined? I wonder if modifying the uprights is a better idea
