Is there any way of checking the chassis for rust when looking at cerbies for sale? cheers!

Yes - look at the chassis from underneath with a good torch - you need to be on a ramp to get a proper look.
You really need to look at the rails nr the engine.
Surface rust is fine. Holes are not good.

also check the chassis members between the engine and rads. You can take off the fibreglass cover easil-It's held on with 6 allen key bolts

Make sure you check the out riggers - they are under the doors.. this is the part of the TVR chassis that goes first.
