Kackered my exhaust last week.
Shoved it on a ramp at ATS (dont laugh!).
They were fab, took exhaust off , they welded up two big cracks from my Le Mans trip and hitting a bump last week. Took him nrly 2 hrs as he had to make up patches and sleeves etc! They fitted my decats as well.
I felt generous and gave him £50.
So now have a fixed exhaust PLUS have got my cats in the boot (which by the way are in perfect condition) and have got bypass pipes. They are f'ing loud with the sports exhaust!!! I Might have to swap back to standard exhaust or put cats back on though !!! It is so loud that it is now ridiculous.
When the car was on the ramps I was chatting to the owner of another car. He was asking about the cats. I then saw inside his boot - blue light, yellow vests and a navy blue cap. A copper in an unmarked car!!!!

I decatted last weekend but with the sports exhaust it was just too loud but the main reason for recatting was I noticed a marked drop off in mid range punch. I know not everyone experiences this but for mine it really was night and day different.
Ah well fun while it lasted.
Cheers

Don't you need a re-map if you de-cat or does the standard ECU map alter the fueling to compensate? Just wondering as I'm tempted to get the TCS pipes.

lol

no remaps required, airlfow changes are small and cerbies run overrich anyway as std so no more of a problem than any other decat route in reality

It is quite a different noise going to decat on a sports exhaust. I can almost hear the car breathing now as I change gear and it suckes the air through the F1 filters and blows it through the sports exhaust. The flames from the exhaust on overrun are great as well. Apologies to anyone living in Petworth - last night drove there for a curry.

That must be what Byff has had done on his, when he took me out he was explaining how it kicked out flames under braking from alternate exhausts from each bank of cylinders, Top noise better than the diablo and the ferrari 550 I drove on my 40th last year

I am going to go hunting the F40 that hangs out in Guildford and see how we compare noise wise.
