How to get in and out of a Cerb?

Had some time off work this week so decided to visit my local TVR garage (TVR Centre in Barnet).

They only had one Cerbera in stock (a speed 6) but at least it gave me a chance to sit in one and try it out for size etc.

I loved the interior which is very futuristic comapred to the Ultima

My only question is how to get in and out of the car? I'm only 6'2" but found it tight. I'm used to rituals of getting in and out of cars so I can soon learn

Ant tips appreciated.......

Basically, bum on seat first (minding head) then swing legs in. Depending on your proportions, you may find the seat too high. I'm about the same height, but with a long body, so I found the standard seat had me looking at the padding on the rollcage. I removed the seatrails and bolted it to the floor which was better, but have now got an aftermarket seat set even lower.

Im just a shade under 6 foot, but must admit I have problems at traffic lights, have to crank my neck sidweays to see them, so guess my eyeline is just on bottom edge of rollbar!

I'm 6"1

1) Left foot on to car floor.
2) Bend left knee to right hand side of steering column (right foot remains outside of car on the floor)

3) Arse meets seat
4) Shuffle right foot to front of door (still outside the car)
5) Twist torso to the left & bring knee under steering column.
6) Bring right foot into the car.


p.s. The left side of my groin is ed for life

I've always slid the seat all the way back to get in or out, just means you've got to slide forward each time to the required position to drive, but i still reckon its the best way

And if you do above in standard width garage its even more fun and its guaranteed to rapidly wear the leather on the drivers seat rh/side lumber support!

Methinks you'll be better off with a TVR which has a removable roof

The little buggers run amock in Post Offices apparently - so my tip is "stay clear of P Offs"

They do go a long way back!

Put the seat back back when you get out. When you go back in it's easy then just bring the seat back up. That way I never have to slide the seat backwards and forwards so the distance is always right.

I'm 6'3" and never had a problem getting in and out. Seeing traffic lights is a little tricky though.

1) Pin a poster of Daisy Duke up on the garage wall
2) Sprint into garage, slide across bonnet
3) Swing both legs through (previously opened) window
4) Slide down into cockpit and accelerate away (preferably to the sound or a musical airhorn).

To get out repeat steps 3 & 4 in reverse order!

Im 5 foot nothing, but use Russell's entry technique

Good job the previous owner was the same height as me as he had the Leven pedal extensions put on. Stops my fat stomach hitting the steering wheel

This sounds weird, but I find it best to "dive in". I'm 6ft btw.

1. With both feet outside the car, poke head inside toward centre consol.
2. Twist torso and bring left foot inside.
3. sit down and bring right foot in.

Bloody hell, I'm 5'7" and find traffic lights a problem, especially if I'm front of the queue!
