Every time I lock the car the alarm starts chirping, not at all the usual alarm sound. Lasts about 8 seconds, goes off for 2 seconds then repeats. This carries on until about 30 seconds after I have unlocked the car. The battery is fully charged, and goes on a trickle charger when not in use. Searching topics the advice as far as I can see is to take fuse 3 out for a few seconds, but in my handbook this is the fuse for the back window. Am I missing something? Also the passenger door will not open from the button under the mirror, but will open from inside. Dont know whether this could be connected? I have searched the forum and know how to fix this. Any advice on the alarm?

A little while back mine would Chirp once when unlocking. Turned out to be a faulty siren.
Try giving Carl Baker a call. 0772 072 3407 (Car & Bike Installations Ltd). He knows all about Cerbie alarms!

Yep. Most likely the siren is on it's way out. It's positioned where it can catch the largest amount of crud with the minimum amount of effort.

Talk to Carl.
