insuarance pay as you go ?
Discussion
saw this in national paper bout a month ago , works on same principle as a tracker - norwich union i think - tells NU how many miles, where , what time , motorways etc,,,, and invoices you accordingly each month ie - lots of city at night = expensive , lots of country driving during day = very little , parked in garage = nothing , anybody know any more as it sounds ideal for me but cant get any info from dum chick on phone with NU ?
NU website.

To qualify: -
Aged between 17-29
Have no claims, accidents or convictions
Have less than 4 years No Claim Discount
Drive a ‘Group 15’ car or less
The last one puts us Cerb owners out then!!
I wonder if they would be able to tell the speed at which you drove?
Instant speeding tickets!

Now now... every insurer have their own underwriting criteria which may be based on a number of factors that they deem to be an acceptable risk for the purposes of providing insurance....
How many times have we all heard that, but probably not usually 'cos you're too young
I'm against this PAYG insurance. To begin with it'll be subsidised and targetted at those who'll save over regular yearly insurance. Eventually more and more people will jump on and once the insurance co's have got everyone using it they'll slowly increase the cost of the insurance... and penalise further those who're not on PAYG systems.
Before you know it, we'll all be on PAYG and paying more for it!
