Calling all Yellow-Tops...
Discussion
Hi all,
Seeing as the cold weather is now officially here, and I've had a few err "low battery, non starter" mornings in the 4.5, I was just wondering which model Optima Yellow-Top some of you good people have bought?
Could you please tell me the model number and the place where you got it?
I have found this place, but not sure which of the 8 yellow tops fits the cerb!

I've seen how much they cost, so if you could also say how good they are, that'd be great
Much appreciated.
Cheers.
I have done some searching on the forums yeah, but not found anything conclusive with regards specific model number. However, I have bought one from barden now. A helpful chap there directed me at the YT-S4.2 YT 1000S.He said if it didnt fit, they would just change it, but was sure it would. Apparently the yellow-tops, are the best for all round performance. Lots of CCAs for those cold days! Lets face it, it cant be any worse than the standard batt. It did cost £150 which includes VAT and delivery... not bad considering I have seen some for 180 on ebay.
Will let you know what its like when its been fitted!!!

Cool thanks - I was just looking though all the archives again in case I missed something, you saved me the trouble
Still sounds like the blue top would be better from the description, but if you spoke to the guy in the know, I guess he'd know!
I wanted a yellow anyway as it matches the car
I'll be interested to see how you get on with it...
