Cheapest Insurance!!
Discussion
Hi all,
Well after the Cerb scraping through its MOT (even without cats!) and being newly taxed for a year, I decided to shop around for insurance.
My existing insurer wanted £660 for fully comp with mileage limited to 5k.
Quotes vary wildly - max was 1700 ish.
Eventually I got fully comp with no mileage limitation, 200 excess, for a mere £ 364.00 !
I thought that was a great result.

Sorry should have said.
Its with Swiftcover, who are online and excellent in that I filled in the forms online, paid online then they sent me a pdf of the cert which I had to print. By far the cheapest I found.
I'm 42, full ncd, the policy is unlimited mileage with 200 excess and covers social and commuting use. Car is garaged overnight.

I get the impression ( And I worked and lived in Dub for ten years !) that Waterford has a fairly low crime rate , not to say a low population !
Are there any TVR dealers or specialists in Ireland?
Nope, this is UK insurance, based on my home in Kent, not the occasional work location in Ireland.
And you'd have to be pretty fast to walk the breadth of Waterford in 5 mins. Its about 4 miles, so you'd need to be walking at 48 miles per hour.
And no, there are no dealers in the Republic, only a dealer in Belfast and the good boys at Torque Flyte Engineering south of Belfast for top class servicing.

Wasnt too bad, IIRC it was about £15 per 1000 miles.
