Well after a few weeks im going to go for the 1st one i saw and against most of your advice im going to dive in!!!

You get to post one pic on pistonheads itself via your profile (which you have done) any others have to be hosted on the web somewhere else like www.photobox.co.uk

To embed a pic in the thread you put [pic] then_the_url [/pic] but without the spaces between the pic tags and the url. So for instance to embed the pic in your profile into a thread you would put

[pic] www.pistonheads.com/pics/members/54095-car.jpg [/pic]

then when you remove the spaces :
