laptop diagnostic software

Does anyone on here know where i can get the above for a laptop to plug into the ecu to do all the settings and read/clear the dtc's? thanks!

Not sure, but this would be a TVR -to-dealer issued thing only, wouldn't it?

If you got hold of a copy and it gave you some error codes, would you know what they meant?

Error codes should be to OBD/OBDII standard naming convention.

I have a copy if you get stuck. It's a pain to use but does work.

i used to be a volvo techie, so using this sort of software is pretty common stuff for me!

What something industry standard in a TVR Is it OBD compliant?
Software is an early version of MBE Systems Easimap.

The fault screen is easy to read - Water Temp OK, Air Temp OK etc.

I thought the OBD stuff was all strange error codes - or is that just the 14CUX in the Rover V8 cars?

Unsure as to whether the TVR EMS would use it but I'm pretty sure that all cars sold these days have to have OBD codes etc for emissions compliance and fault diagnosis. Perhaps they managed to dodge this somehow though?

remember this is tvr! and i thought that it was compulsory to have rear number plate lights!lol!

What type of cable/conections do you need to conect to a laptop and where would you get one from.

Cable is 9 pin serial as per this diagram

Many report success with a straight thru cable from PC World and the like. Do a search there are quite a few threads.
