Valet Parking - would you ?

Staying at an hotel in London on Friday night - plan to drive up there. I am told they have Valet parking. Would you trust your Cerb to them bearing in mind push button start, warm up process etc....?
It is a small hote (The Soho) and so I guess it should be reasonably well cared for !!

I think your warm up process might differ somewhat to their's.....I'm thinking along the lines of hit the rev limiter & let the clutch out, that should warm her up nicely

Erm. "No Way!". I'd politely explain to them that I'll park it myself and pepper the reason with "due to the unique warm up characteristics", "Start up processes involved" and "race bred engine" etc.

Just remember it's London, so the valet guy might not be from these shores!

You might have to try and explain in some Eastern European language!

As the guy grounds it attempting to get in the Soho Basement car park... Oh and door bangs it as he attempts to open the unusually long doors in the small London spaces... Oh and that's after he's bumped the wall in front of the space "coz I couldn't see where the front waz guv".

A very protective lot!! hahaha - I would generally never allow them to park it too. Although some places in London don't allow you to park it (NCP's). I’m not worried about the fact of them taking it out for a spin. It’s purely on being bashed, constantly being started and turned off again - moving them around as they always over pack. Or just revved up?

I think there’s one more thing we all forget, is the handbrake!! Yes sir IT WAS there...but ITS NOT NOW

I stayed at the Four Seasons in London and they took great care of the car, even washed it for me!

They guy parking it was very carefull and driving a TVR was nothing too special for him and the car park was full of Astons and Fezzas.

Generally i would say a resounding no, unless it was a very flash hotel, even then i would have a hot sweat on all night wondering wether trev was ok.....

and I just found out that the valet parking costs £40. Sod that - going to leave it in the NCP !
