The first 24 hrs
Discussion
Sorry it’s taken so long to check in. what a 24hrs! Picked the Cerb (need a name for her- anyone!)at 5 yesterday. Is was dark, very foggy and rush hour traffic which made it really difficult to get used to the beast - I’ve been taking it really slowly (probably too slow to be honest, but I'm very wary of it) its amazing how little you need to push the loud pedal to get such awesome performance - the car is truly outstanding and a real head turner. I had to drive up to the office today (Soho) and the amount of looking and pointing was embarrassing (i'm not into posing!!) Nobody had warned me how crap the turning circle is - its caught me out a couple of times but also made me kerb the front alloy! (What’s the cost to get it sorted and can it be refurbed?) I was pulling out of the NCP and couldn’t make the turn in one go so reversed to get the angle - I duly stalled in front of loads of people and pulled off too quickly thinking I would make the corner but didn’t!! It really pissed me off to be honest but I guess you've got to accept that sometimes these things happen.
It does seem to stall a lot when cold - is that normal or is that just me not wanting to give it to many revs - the car is very loud.
I've had a huge smile on my face all day!
No doubt I will have the usual questions so bear with me - and yes I will get some pic uploaded ASAP.

I was in Soho today with mine as well - left Soho at 11am (arrived there yesterday at 1pm ish).
Havent driven mine in London before and it was very embarassing for my wife - as we went through Parliament Sq etc there were tourists taking photos - not sure the police liked the popping n banging!
If you have 18s then the turnng circle is a joke! You have to turn in a meter earlier in multi storeys.
Cold stalling isnt unusual but shouldnt happen. If the car hasnt been used much for a while then it might sort itself out in a week of reg use.
Wheels can be refurbed. £50 per wheel.

Yes turning circle is a problem, as my husband says it has the turning circle of a barge.
I have problems with it stalling when cold, but then my legs are a little short and the clutch bites right at the bottom, and if I'm looking over my shoulder to reverse then it stalls all the time on me.
Keep the grin, and just wave and smile when they point.

Hey Gareth
Glad that you are enjoying her. The stalling thing is part of getting used to her - the first couple of weeks I was the same but you quickly get used to it.
You also get used to the posing especially when you don't stall it!
I guess that I had better edit my profile
Have fun

Hello and welcome,
Shouldn't stall when warmed up, unless of course you are still getting used to the clutch and accelerator
- in my first week i stalled a few times due to poor clutch work, but since then hasn't happened again. I am sure someone more technical on here will be able to suggest what might fix it

i stalled mine quite a lot when i first had it but now i never do its just getting used to it i reckon, i also could not get reverse without crunching it untill i read the hand book and it said to select fifth gear first then reverse and never crunched it since anyway happy motoring
Don't use 5th, use 3rd instead.
5th gear is the weakest out of the lot and you'll only make it more likely to go boom.
