I don't want to fall foul of the advertising rules, but just to correct the prices, the protech kits now start at 550 pounds (the power of bulk buying hehe), nitrons are 970 pounds, plus vat.
Thanks for the plug tho Julian, appreciated

Would the car not run lower on the aftermarket suspension? May be a problem for the bumpy/unmade part of the road, no?

Unless he fancies changing the ride height every time he goes out and home?

you can set the ride height wherever you desire, higher, lower or exactly the same

hi track car, {julian}, looking at your website...
'''NEW IN''' cerbera balanced-bypass decat pipes, boost horsepower 125.00......are these the new pipes which has the same affect as Decat sports exhaust, but would get through the MOT?,or do these just boost yr horse power

No, they just have a little pipe joining the two sides (standard exhaust system is completely separate from each side of the "V" to the back of the car). Makes it sound different. I have them, although bizarrely when it's cold the steam still only comes out of the left hand pipe

Oh. My car (standard suspension) will clear speed bumps that cerbs with non standard suspension wont. Thought the fancy ones dropped the ride height

they may well have been set lower, that's entirely down to choice though .. the spring seats are adjustable so you can have it any height you desire within reasonable limits. Most people make the mistake of lowering their cars .. unles you go massivley up on spring rates it's the wrong thing to do ..

Sadly even a cerbera in good health with good cats in probably won't even go through a proper mot emissions test .. if you have one that will please buy my lottery ticket this week 'cos you're a lucky lucky person. The linked decats are quieter than a normal decat and have a small hp advantage. Main benefit is the noise reduction over the std decats tho, it really does take the hard edge off the normal decatted route. At part throttle they're possibly as quiet as the std catted cars.

My car is running higher with AVO's all round, than it was with standard springs etc...I now dont hit the speed bumps as I used to do. If the roads round here were better, then I would probably lower it slightly. As mentioned above, its down to your own preference.

We believe you. However, to me, it's always read that you are saying that a Cerb will never pass an MOT on emissions, which we all know to be untrue, as none of us would be driving

They shouldn't pass, but they do...

As to the linked decat pipes that reduce the noise, I'm failing to see the point.

I'm no expert but:

- Better noise at higher revs
- Better breathing, smoother power delivery
- A couple or two additional HP
- Keeps your CATS in good condition for the MOT

Better fuel economy as well (or so I read somehwhere!). Not much good if you are the type of TVR owner who relishes single figure mpg and likes boasting about it!
