hi folks, had the beast a couple of week now and have loved every minute of it!
was coming home this afternoon doing 50 in a fifty in the outside lane, when an old woman pulled out on me into the fast lane without checking her mirror and gave me no opption but to kill my beast and nearly me!
i am abssolutely mortified as you can imagine!
ive always had quick cars and this is my second cerb, and never crashed one and i am so gutted! she gave me no choice whatsoever!
Im the type of person who drove her bent car off the central reservation onto the grass verge, i dont deserve this to happen to my pride and joy!
i cant send any pics of broken beast yet as i am slowly coming to terms with it, it happened at 2.30 tday and i went on the piss at 5! but now im bk home and reality as set in!
hope your all well

If in your opinion it was a non fault accident, may I suggest you use Helphire. I had a non fault accident in August, fortunately I also had a witness and Helphire took care of the entire situation and made what could have been quite a stressful time very painless and of course I avoided my insurance company.
I paid £10 they took on the claim, delivered me a brand new £40K Mercedes E Class and took the car to a very good bodyshop. The car was then returned to me looking like new and I didn't here any more from them until yesterday. I received a letter to say they had received a 100% settlement from the other insurance company as they had admited all liability.

she dint accept any responsibilty, but she was real shook up, i had a witness anyway, he was admiring beast whilst driving behind me!
I just hope the insurance dosnt take forever
I am cold turkey already
Sorry to hear the news, but at least you are ok.
I'm sure you have, but make sure you keep the details of the independent witness, who will assist if required further on in the process.
One wonders with these ambulance chasers, if they hadn't recieved 100% liability from the other insurance company where the rest of the bill would go to for the services they lavish on you.
And yes I would regard them as ambulance chasers. They make a profit out of misery, and they end up making it out of everyone including the wider population of insurance payers. It is ultimately very niave to think this isn't the reason everyones insurance is rising.

Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When I first had the accident the whole situation was a nightmare.
Recovery company not prepared to take the car where I wanted it to go
Insurance company not prepared to give me a car if I went to a bodyshop of their choice
Insurance company not able appoint a bodyshop until the Tuesday (Accident occurred on a Saturday)
Insurance company not able to arrange a courtesy car until a bodyshop was appointed.
Of course in addition to the above if I had used my own insurance I would have had to wait for the claim to be settled before my excess was refunded and my NCB restored in full. So when faced with such hurdles for something I was innocent in, I took the least painful option open to me and paid £10 for all the misery to be taken away.
If that makes me immoral, tough.

I assume its not being repaired then?
I dont know that I'd call HelpHire Ambulance chasers, my insurance company recommended them to me a few years back, and I've used them 3 times since, they really do make a painful drawn out process quite simple.
Personally I think there is a distinct difference between Ambulance Chasers and company's that make money by helping genuinely aggrieved parties. The only way Helphire's services could put up general insurance costs would be if NOT using them allowed the insurance company's to get away with skimming you of cash, in which case you are loosing money anyway!!!
At the end of the day, Leebus was safely driving down a road, and entirely through someone elses lack of judgement and ability has trashed his car - why on earth should he have that compounded by loosing money on TOP of the already considerable inconvenience?!?! OK if Leebus had lost control while drinking a McDonalds Coffee because it was hot and THEN tried to sue them...
