I noticed you’ve been posting on here a bit Andy & I don’t want to bother you on the phone with silly questions like what oil did you say you put in it again…

Here seems like a better place to ask as you can reply if & when you have time. So; what oil did you say you put in it again? Mandy forgot that that she said she wouldn’t….

Thanks again for the sensor, everything running great. Think I must have had the carpet stuck round the clutch pedal as it to is fine now

Ah thanks for that, it's what I'd seen in the shop, but could have sworn there was a 50 in it somewhere, but then again I wouldn't be asking if either of us could remember...

Oh cool, thanks, the other half said she often passes it when Andy mentioned Halfwits. I was quite impressed she new what he meant, unless there is a shop actually called Halfwits in Guildford then we could be in trouble...

The only Mobil 1 I've found in any of the three Halfords I've tried (poxy little one in Bishop's Stortford, big superstores in Harlow and Braintree) is either the 0W40 or the 15W50. I *believe* that they are doing a 5W50 now but I haven't found it yet.

To my knowledge the 5W50 Mobil One was only available in France. Here you're limited to 0W40 and 15W50. For the money you pay for Mobil one, better stuff is available - have a word with Opieoilman on these forums, but I suspect he'll recommend Silkolene Pro-S 10W50.

I knew I got it wrong. 15 50 it is then!

To add to the confusion, Melling recommended a 20W50 Mineral Oil at his talk.

Thanks for all the response.
It's only for topping it up as it's just been refilled with Mobil 1, so I’d rather use the same stuff. I new it wasn’t 0W40 Andy used, it is 15W50, new there was a 50 in it some where, the old memory ant all that bad then….
