URGENT - ALARM
Discussion
Hello all. Car alarm works ok and protects the car. However, when you turn it off the alarm sounds continuously. I can start the car and drive it, but the alarm keeps sounding. How do I disconnect the siren so at least I can drive it and in the longer term what has caused this nightmare. Any ideas or information appreciated.

Thanks Tripps, but what does the master fob look like?

Mark,
It sounds like your siren is u/s. It is located in the wheel arch of the rear drivers side wheel and is a bit awkward to get to. It might be worth ringing your local Indie to talk you through exactly where it is and how to get to it, at least then you can disable it.
Sorry Cyclone1, but what is u/s - does this mean knackered?

Update.
Car on drive all doors closed and windows shut...Arm alarm and no probs.
Press fob to disarm alarm and siren sounds and hazards flash.
Press fob again to arm alarm and everything fine again.
Press fob to disarm alarm and get in car and shut doors - alarm stops and everything fine (car starts and everything works with no alarm) unless you move. So tape up sensors - everything fine and car drives...However, as soon as open doors, alarm goes off...shut door wait for alarm to stop and everything fine again, except can't open doors without alarm going off and can't lock car as have to go through whole rigmorole at 0500 in the morning.
Good old TVR !!!
Cheers MB

Have you tried removing the little key by the ashtray before locking up ? You can still lock the car but I think the alarm is not set this way.
I needed to use this when my alarm misbehaved.
Sounds good, but does the alarm come on when the key is put back in the morning?
Oh the interior lights seem to stay on all the time - I notice TT Tim had the same type of problem back in the summer, but the thread did not reach a conclusion !

Turns out the passengers door wans't closing properly and the closed contacts didn't do their thing, a large slam and later on adjusting the door made the problem go away.
