Manifolds

Hi all,

Does anyone have an old pair of 4.5 manifolds (or just the one) that you no longer need, that I can buy / have please. I am not too worried about the condition (although if they are good it would be a bonus) as I want to use them as a test piece for some new manifolds.

Any help would be appreciated...

Hi Cyclone...

had mine off briefly to weld them up - pig of a job with engine in situ
back on now im pleased to say ...

Im sure I have spoken with Tim Lamont ACT he was looking a replacment sectional manifold
I know Joolz was at one time also ... sorry cant add any more ... but an easier to get off system would be good - any performance gains would be an added advantage

yeh Tim has got some made and i think they're fitted to a few cars now, one was going to be Daggart's car but sadly everything seems to have gone quiet on that front recently so might be worth a call to Tim to see what's available. the pics of them looked very neat

Thanks for the replies. Apart from the standard items, ACT are the only company that offer an alternative (apart from having some bespoke manifolds made), but as yet I am not sure if they are a direct replacement or if they are a performance enhancer? I probably need to speak with them or with someone who has had them fitted. I want to try something different with the manifolds to see how much more potential can be released, I have a few ideas / options but would like to test them out on an old / spare pair (hence this thread) first before making a decision, I can then go down the route of having some bespoke manifolds made or buy some off the shelf.

Jules, what sort of ideas are you thinking of? bigger bore? alternate lengths of tubes?
